The Briar Witch Project, a low-budget American horror film released in 2012 is a look into the making of a film that had absolutely no budget to work with. Filmed with an iPhone 4S with a SteadiCam. The filming and editing in total took well over 93 minutes to create.
Technical advisor and wife Shirley Braley provided support and scones to the crew.
Merle Braley, Director said, “Shirl was an inspiration… The film never would have been completed without her. When all seemed hopeless she was always there for me. It is her belief in me that kept me going for nearly 2 hours of creating this… I never imagined that it would be such a huge success at the box office.” Braley’s voice cracked as he wiped away a tear. He turned and walked away and crawled into his tent.
