Instruments of Justice were playing at Southern Village in Chapel Hill last night.
My battery in my iPhone was running low. So, I had already put away my mono-pod, and Apogee mic. Then, the band started playing Proud Mary.
I had to capture it. So, shot it “from the hip”. No external mic and not tripod.
Left a good job in the city
Workin’ for the man ev’ry night and day
And I never lost one minute of sleepin’
Worryin’ ’bout the way things might have been…
Apps used:
ProCamera
Splice
The ProCamera was set to Zoom 6x which means that it will create HD video even on zoomed in shots. But, the cost is that it sucks the battery dry pretty quickly as it post-processes the video.
I got to the car just in time to charge up my iPhone as it was still processing.
This morning I added the title clips at the beginning with an app called Splice. Also, I cut a few seconds off the end of the video before uploading to Youtube into the NC Concerts Youtube Channel.
