Living Tableaux
The name of this image and video “Living Tableaux” is borrowed from the French tableau vivant which means “living picture”. It describes a group of suitably costumed actors or artist’s models, carefully posed and often theatrically lit.
Although these were not actors or artist models, the video from which this image was taken gives a sense of being a tableau vivant as you’ll see when you watch the video below.
Those who were looking at the images hanging on the wall appeared to be motionless.
I hope that these 12 seconds will bring a smile to your face as it did mine. The video is only 12 seconds long, but you don’t know when to stop watching it.
